Net-a-porter has chosen four new emerging brands to be part of the third season of its Vanguard initiative. As part of this, the new fashion talent have been named as the “next wave of emerging designers" and will all receive mentorship within the business.
The four brands, Bite Studios, Le 17 September, Naturae Sacra and The Sant, for the first time, were all picked from Instagram with sustainability at the forefront of the selection process. Both Naturae Sacra and Bite Studios (an acronym for By Independent Thinkers for Environmental progress) are brands who have sustainability at their core with both designers using sustainable processes and materials in their compositions.
Global buyer director for Net-a-porter, Elizabeth von der Goltz, said "Over the past two seasons, we have loved witnessing the positive effect the Vanguard mentorship program has on these emerging brands. It’s so important for us to be able to share our insight in a meaningful way and aim towards a shared goal of long-lasting success.
"One year after launch, we are thrilled to announce the next wave of exciting new designers who all offer something completely unique to the market.”
