Secondhand September: How you can participate by selling your clothes

Posted on

Now that we are officially into Autumn, hopefully, you are aware of what second-hand September is and are joining us in participating in this environmentally important movement. However, if you’re not yet aware do head over to our last blog for a full explanation of what it is and why you should care about it.
If buying pre-loved clothing is not for you it doesn’t mean you need to dismiss second-hand right away. Another way to participate in this fantastic movement is by selling on your unwanted clothes instead of throwing them out.
Here at SOTT, our goal is to take the hassle out of selling designer goods. With a combined trading history of over 40 years, our knowledgable and trustworthy team has expert knowledge of the preloved market and it's our job to make selling your preloved designer items as simple as possible. We do also offer complimentary home collections for over 15 items to make selling your clothes as easy as possible.
So, when selling your unwanted clothes is that simple what's stopping you? Instead of throwing out your clothes and participating to the 11 million clothing items that are sent to landfill every week in the UK, bring them to SOTT for a stress and hassle-free process of selling your pre-loved designer clothes. Plus, getting money back from your unwanted high-end clothing is always a bonus!
Another great way to extend the lifecycle of your clothes and prevent them from ending up in a landfill is to take them to your local charity shop. By doing this you are helping a good cause and the environment (remember - re-use is better than re-cycle!). If you are not sure whether your clothes can be re-sold – donate them anyway – whatever clothes a charity shop can’t sell they can send off for further re-use or recycling.
