How to wear your Summer clothing into the Autumn

Posted on

As the days start to get shorter and the weather begins to cool there's no need to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe for the autumn. Keep reading for our guide on how to wear your summer clothing into the next season.

Tip number 1 - It's all about layering!
We've all just spent the last couple of month buying strappy dresses and before we know it it will be too cold to wear them again. But do not fear - with the art of layering you can wear your gorgeous dresses through into the autumn. By wearing a white tee or even a shirt underneath a black strappy dress you can extend its life cycle through the autumn. Pair this outfit with a leather jacket for a 'rock chick' look or a denim jacket for a more boho vibe.
Tip number 2 - The riding boot
One of the easiest ways to wear your midi floaty summer dresses and skirts through to the next season is to team them with a pair of riding boots. Not only does this create such an effortlessly chic look but you should never underestimate the warmth a good pair of boots can bring on an autumn day. As they are such a versatile piece and will always be a timeless classic it's definitely worth investing in a good pair of boots. Shop our selection.
Tip number 3 - Don't forget about your cosy knits
Believe it or not, it will soon be time to dig out your chunky knits from the bottom of your drawers! But just because we are starting to layer up it doesn't mean its time to hide away your floaty midi skirts just yet. Pairing a pleated midi with a chunky knit will always be a timeless and effortless look.
