2019 Autumn trends

Posted on

1. Capes
If you've always secretly dreamed of being superwoman then you are in luck as we saw Chloe, Celine and Burberry all showcasing capes down the runway.
2. Asymmetry
Springs off the shoulder trend has been replaced by a one-shoulder look instead as seen on Kate Spade and Carolina Herrera.
3. Cinched Suits
Suits have been a long-time staple but this autumn sees suits having broader shoulders and wider legs. This calls for a cinched waist to balance these bigger proportions and feminise the look.
4. Darker Florals
Long maxi dresses in dark tones of purple and black with floral patterns were seen on the runway this autumn from the likes of Paco Rabanne and Simone Rocha.
5. Tiered Ruffles
Tiered Ruffles were seen on the runway this autumn from designers such as Erdem and Ports 1961.
